The Climate Action unit is at the forefront of Vertis’ wide range of sustainability services.
We are looking for a passionate individual with more than 3 years of quality experience in sourcing and developing offsetting projects under CDM, VCS, or Gold standard.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in 360 project management, sourcing and/or credit issuance under CDM, VCS or Gold Standard
  • Good familiarity with climate change, GHG accounting, emission reduction projects, carbon footprinting
  • You have a demonstrable experience building relationships and are comfortable communicating with counterparties globally
  • Ability to solve problems independently, prior entrepreneurial experience is a plus
  • Relevant academic background in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or Sustainability
  • Excellent English, another European language is a plus
  • European national or holder of a valid work permit


  • You are responsible for sourcing of carbon offsetting projects worldwide.
  • You locate, onboard, due diligence and contract with top-notch emission reduction projects.
  • You take care of our wholesale voluntary carbon trades and provide with a quotation on retail size transactions for your colleagues.
  • Represent Vertis towards external stakeholders during business development processes and maintain good relationships with project owners, clients, auditors and other counterparties
  • Manage Vertis’ portfolio of projects
  • Develop relationships with key market stakeholders such as registry operators or credit standard authorities
  • Assess projects and quantify social and environmental benefits
  • Prepare client proposals and consult clients in project development
  • Report to the Head of Corporate Climate Action
